Knut Nesse will present the story of one of the most amazing woman in Scandinavian history – Queen Margrete – who united Denmark, Norway and Sweden in the Middle Ages. She created the Kalmar Union, which brought Scandinavia under her rule and lasted for 125 years. Knut will also talk about THE HANSEATIC LEAGUE – an alliance that dominated trade in Northern Europe in the Middle Ages, and left its mark in many cities, including Bergen.
